Sessions
We start off meeting for 50 minutes, on a weekly basis. This consistent commitment is part of building a strong foundation together. After some time, we may decide to decrease frequency of sessions.
Rates
All sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. An extended session, when called for, costs $275 for 90 minutes. Cash, check, all major credit cards, and some HSA or FSA cards are accepted at the time of each session.
Insurance
At this time, I'm a private pay therapist and am not on any health insurance panels. After careful consideration, I have decided not to accept insurance. I want to work with you, according to my own guidelines and values
not the insurance companies who have their own rules.
But I do encourage all my clients to speak with your insurance company or employee benefit plan, as they may cover service in full or reimburse for some portion of therapy that you pay for out of pocket. Please check carefully by asking your provider if they will pay for an out of network therapist. It's crucial that you review your out-of-network coverage, including factors such as deductibles and whether you have met them. Some insurance plans can reimburse anywhere from 40-60% of each session and I'm glad to provide a superbill to submit for reimbursement of our sessions.
As of 2021, insurance companies in CA are required to offer reimbursment and coverage for both individual and couples therapy.
Cancellations
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, as your appointment time is not available for other clients nor is it easy to fill at the last minute. Please communicate with me at least 1 day prior if you need to miss/reschedule a session for any reason. Otherwise, you will be responsible for the session fee.
